Position Summary
The Vice President is a senior investment professional responsible for originating transactions, leading underwriting and due diligence, structuring deals, and actively supporting portfolio companies. Key Responsibilities
Deal Sourcing & Relationship Development
• Originate new investment opportunities by building and expanding strong relationships with commercial banks, investment banks, private equity sponsors, independent sponsors, business brokers, and management teams, with a concentration on the Southeast.
• Leverage an existing network to source proprietary and semi‑proprietary opportunities aligned with a mezzanine‑focused junior capital strategy.
• Maintain consistent outbound market activity through calls, meetings, conferences, and targeted outreach.
• Apply demonstrated experience evaluating hundreds of lower‑middle‑market opportunities annuallyacross multiple sectors.
• Serve as a market‑facing representative of the firm's investment approach, capital solutions, and partnership philosophy.
Underwriting & Financial Analysis
• Lead the development and refinement of detailed financial models, including three‑statement, cash flow, leverage, returns, and scenario analyses.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments of financial performance, operational drivers, competitive positioning, and management capabilities.

Transaction Execution
• Manage full due‑diligence processes, coordinating internal resources, external advisors, and management teams.
• Lead negotiation of term sheets and definitive agreements across both debt and equity transactions.
• Prepare clear, compelling investment memoranda and present recommendations to the Investment Committee.
• Drive transaction closings with precision, ensuring alignment across legal, financial, and strategic workstreams.
Portfolio Management
• Serve as a Board Observer for select portfolio companies, providing insight into strategic, financial, and operational matters.
• Monitor performance, track KPIs, oversee covenant compliance, and identify opportunities for operational enhancement.
• Support management in evaluating add‑on acquisitions and long‑term strategic initiatives.
Leadership & Team Development
• Mentor and oversee Associates and Analysts, reviewing analytical work, investment materials, and diligence outputs.
• Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the investment team.
• Contribute to internal projects, including marketing materials, CRM improvements, and process optimization.
Qualifications
• 5-10+ years of experience in private credit, private equity, mezzanine lending, investment banking, or transaction advisory.
• Proven ability to source and originate deals independently, with a strong network of relationships across the Southeast.
• Advanced modeling, underwriting, and structuring expertise.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
